Japanese Hot Dogs

Many people may be surprised to know how many Japanese recipes are inspired or adapted from Western or Chinese dishes. Take Nikujaga as an example, a dish stemming from beef stew. Or the Japanese version of Mabo Tofu, which is known for its mellow flavor. Hot dogs are also popular in Japan especially as baseball is one of the country’s most watched sports. People often get hot dogs at the stadium while watching a game, or even have them at home for a snack or light lunch.
